This spring Southern Maryland has many exciting events and opportunities for community members to enjoy.
Southern Maryland has many local ice creams and dessert places to visit this spring as the weather heats up everyone’s mind naturally goes to ice cream. Mrs. Moo’s Corner is in Prince Frederick Maryland and is a local favorite. Mrs. Moo’s features specialty milk shakes as well as a variety of homemade desserts.
Always Ice Cream also recently opened in the new Prince Frederick shopping center and is a great stop to add to any summer bucket list. Always offers a large variety of ice cream flavors, cakes, and vegan ice cream.
Brrrr Ice Cream, Shakes & Crepes is in Solomons and has an extensive menu including ice cream, acai bowls, and crepes. For anyone in search of dessert other than ice cream, Brrrr is a great local option.
This spring Montpelier Farms is hosting a Tulip Festival in Upper Marlboro which is projected to be held in early April. At this event visitors will be able to pick tulips and stroll the flower fields.
The Southern Maryland Spring Festival will be held April 30 through May 3. This festival will be held at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds in Leonardtown. This event is projected to have a fair-like atmosphere while featuring flowers and plants.
Finally, checking out the Calvert Marine Museum is also a great way to spend a day. Learning about Calvert Counties’ history and wildlife.
The Marine Museum will also be hosting three concerts this summer as of now. On Saturday, June 13 Almost Queen: A Tribute to QUEEN with Separate Ways the Band.
On Friday, July 24 Warren Zeiders. And on Saturday, August 22 will be hosting Brothers Osborne.
