For their 2026 spring production, Calvert High School theater department produced 2026 the musical Into the Woods.
The production ran on April 24-26 at Calvert High School. Auditions were held in December, and rehearsals began in January.
The length of the show and the difficulty of music made it a massive undertaking.
Director, Mrs. Stephanie Thom said, “It was a long process combining acting, music, movement, scenery and effects.”
The production included many technical elements such as the sounds and lighting, that came together to enhance the actors performance. Mr. Nicholas Mudd, CHS physics teacher, helped to make this possible.
“It took a lot of hard work and dedication on everyone’s part, but it came together and was great in the end,” said Mrs. Thom.
For the 26-27 season the CHS theater program will be performing the play, Beauty is the Beast, in November, In the Forests of the Night, as a one act in January, and Grease the Musical in April.
