On December 4 the CHS band had their winter concert. This included performances from many talented groups and musicians.
This concert had performances from the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Band. The groups played a variety of festive holiday tunes as well as some traditional music.
Jazz band had solos from multiple extremely talented musicians including Jordan Dugue’, Joshua Dugue, and Nicole Morgan.
This concert was the first formal concert directed at Calvert high by the new band director Mr. David Criscuolo. Mr. Criscuolo also began directing the Calvert High School marching band for the 2025 season.
The Cavaliers band is highly active with the marching band attending the annual Christmas parade in Prince Frederick and hosting a mattress fundraiser on December 20.
The band also went on a recruiting trip to all of Calvert Highs feeder schools to showcase their music from this fall and inspire students in Calvert to learn an instrument or continue playing in high school.
The CHS band will take the stage again this spring. Be sure to come out and support them.
