Calvert High School’s Mock Trial team celebrated the end of their successful 2018 season on Thursday March 15.  

To recap, the team, accompanied by sponsors Mrs. Katie Katowski and Ms. Margaret Land, was undefeated in circuit competition in their presentation of the 2018 case: Slater v. Kapowski. The team was victorious against Patuxent’s defense, La Plata’s defense, McDonough’s plaintiff, and West Lake’s plaintiff. The tallied scores from circuit competition ranked CHS as second in their circuit as well.  

The team’s accomplishment in circuit competition qualified them for advancement to regional competition. It was then that an unfortunate one-point loss ended the team’s season, with Bishop McNamara’s defense scoring 47 and Calvert’s plaintiff scoring 46.
