Why Should You Go to Footballs Games?

Why Should You Go to Footballs Games?

Football is a classic high school experience in which all students should participate. The atmosphere, being surrounded by classmates unified under one theme, the kick-off tradition of baby powder, and fun Friday nights with friends, can improve high school morale and give students something to look forward to.

Among the stress and workload that school provides for students, Friday Night Lights are an end to the week to which everyone can look forward.

Football games are an inexpensive way to get out of the house and have fun. Though football games are not as popular as they used to be, it is a part of classic American culture. It is fun to see your classmates out on the field playing, marching, dancing, or cheering.

Bonds that you form with the peers that you meet can help you survive high school. Social experiences are an important part of growing up, and these games give you time to interact with people. You can be confident with a group of people that are doing the same cheers as you.

Football games are a chance to unify the classes. Chances are, you will meet someone new at the game with whom you wouldn’t normally spend time outside of the classroom. School spirit will emit from the student section with loud chants, conversation, and, of course, tons of baby powder.

Join the Calvert High School Student Section in cheering on our home team against Patuxent High School on October 25, 2019 at 7pm. Admission is five dollars and the theme is camouflage, so come dressed up with your best CHS spirit.
