This Christmas season has prepared for some of the holly-est and jolly-est films to date. With a star-studded action/comedy featuring The Rock and Chris Evans, to a few funky twists on classic holiday storylines, there is bound to be something that will fit on everyone’s wish list.
Red One, which came out on November 15th is an action/ comedy with a star-studded cast list featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Chris Evans as well as a few other notable faces like Nick Kroll and Kiernan Shipka. The story line follows Santa Clause (Code Name: RED ONE) being kidnapped, and the North Pole’s head of security as well as the world’s most infamous bounty hunter going on a mission to find him. This movie is currently still in theaters which makes for the perfect holiday outing with friends and family.
A Sudden Case of Christmas is another recently released film featuring a crowd favorite, Danny DeVito. It was released on December 5th and follows a couple who brings their daughter to her grandfather’s hotel in Italy to tell her that they are separating, but in her hopes to keep them together she asks to spend one that Christmas together (even though it is August). This holiday tale can be found on Apple TV and Prime Video with a subscription.
Carry-On is the perfect choice for those Action and Thriller lovers and was released on December 13th. It details the story of an airline security guard who is blackmailed by a passenger who threatens to bring a dangerous package onto a Christmas-Eve flight. This tale features Jason Bateman, Sofia Carson, and Taron Egerton as the faces of the film and is available for viewing on Netflix.
